Unfortunately, he's still not exactly making bank even with a part time job, a lot of auditions, and hand-holding. So he can't go out and get something super amazingly brand name like he wants to. He ends up with a pair of color spliced joggers and two layers of different solid t-shirts on. He has a chain necklace and his usual full set of earrings from home on. He's also got athletic shoes on, but they're the kind that he clearly saved up for that costs $200 and he would die inside if they got dirty.
The door swings fully open once Hikaru knocks to reveal his studio behind him, an excited look on his face. ]

[ Hikaru has a little over 4 inches on Taichi, so he isn't too worried about finding a place to sit down so Hikaru can get a better view. Hikaru can probably see fine, but he'll move however the other boy directs him if he does. He doesn't have anything embarrassing in the bathroom, mostly just hair products and make up, hair dye, skin care, and a pack of something called man wipes. None of it is the high end brands, but he's got most of what he thinks he needs.
He waves a hand in front of his face back and forth like he's shooting away Hikaru's idea.]

Taichi's pretty sure Azuma would cry if he saw his selection, so he's glad that Hikaru doesn't seem to judge him. He's immediately distracted when Hikaru says that he has a senpai that calls him that already and does get a little pouty. ]

[ He thinks about it while his hair gets done, staying still and then blushing a little at the compliment to his eyes. He scratches his cheek and grins. ]

Inside of the gift bag is a thick, black flight jacket that Hikaru bought. He couldn't make him anything with such a small time frame but what he did do with the jacket was sashiko patching. Although he had forcibly cut rips into it to patch it with different plaids in different colors. He had thought that it would fit Taichi's style best.]
I don't really know if it gets too cold here but I thought you might need a jacket and you know, I just wanted to make it more you? Or what I thought was you. Hope you like it!

Because Taichi Nanao is launching himself to jump into Hikaru's arms. He can either catch him, or fall to the floor and have pink-haired boy on top of him happily laughing in glee. ]

[It doesn't sound sincere but Hikaru's not used to having to apologize and this is a real attempt.] You made things easier and I never exactly thanked you. So yeah, you know. Thanks. You've made this place a lot better for me. [Hikaru knows he's blushing and it's embarrassing but well, he knows Taichi had to hear that.]
[ He didn't expect to end up on the ground, but Hikaru is laughing which means he's fine, and a brief spike in his adrenaline followed by a flash of worry disappears as quickly as it came, replaced with mirthful giggles. He just lays on top of him and hugs him for a moment, his legs kicking back and forth a little in excitement. It doesn't need to be Sanguis to imagine a wagging trail behind him. It's no surprise he gets compared to a puppy often. ]
A hundred percent forgiven! I get yelled at a lot back home, it's no big deal. I made my best friend because of it.
[ He moves his hands to either side of Hikaru's head to push himself up, a warm smile still on his face. ]

[Hikaru wants to tell Taichi he shouldn't just accept being yelled at. Even if Hikaru knows why he was yelling, it didn't mean Taichi deserved to be on the other side of that. But it's hard to care about that when Taichi just seems happy and hugs him like that. It's hard to really think about anything too serious when it's much easier to smile and laugh with him, hug him back. Hikaru doesn't mind the weight on him at all. Kaoru is often laying on him like this so it's normal.
Except when Taichi pulls back and then they're that close. It's hard to think about anything at all when they only stare at one another and Taichi is blushing a little and Hikaru is too. Why? This isn't a big deal or it shouldn't be. Why does it feel like it is? It feels like he should do something but what that is, he doesn't know. His heart is pounding so loudly that he's certain that Taichi can hear it.
His mouth feels like there's cotton in it but he says:]

It reminds him a little of the neighbor he used to like when they were kids. His heart would rush back then too, and when he first saw Yuki and thought he was a cute girl... Well, it still trips him up how cute Yuki is sometimes, like it's tripping him up how cute Hikaru is right now, with that blush on his face...
